T'ai Chi Easy - 5 Week Series

A five week T'ai Chi Easy Series is scheduled to begin Tuesday evening, September 26th from 7:15-8:15pm.  Each hour-long class will be taught by Michael LaBant.  Michael currently leads Qi Gong classes at our center and is a Professional Member of the T'ai Chi and Qi Gong Association.  He is very excited to have this opportunity to offer this new set of classes at our special place of peace in New Berlin. 

A mind-body practice that combines gentle exercises, breath practices, self-massage, and meditation, T'ai Chi Easy honors the beauty and traditions of T'ai Chi and simultaneously distills the essence and principles of T'ai Chi as a health and self-care practice for our modern times. 

T'ai Chi Easy form consists of classic and simple Qi Gong movements including the four essential Qi cultivation methods: Postural Alignment and Gentle Movements, Breath Practice, Self Applied Massage and Relaxation, and Visualization and Meditation Practices.  This compilation of practices is called the Vitality Enhancement Method and is known in China as a form of medical Qi Gong called 'Bu Zheng Qi Gong'.  For this particular program 5 movements from the traditional Yang Style Tai Chi can be done sitting (Tai Chi Chair) or standing.  It is a carefully developed approach that makes Tai Chi Easy fun and beneficial from the onset for each practitioner.
